Sue Patchell

Life and works

Suzannah "Sue" Patchell-Duckett was born in DuBois, PA on July 2, 1917 to Fred and Amy Patchell. She grew up with her siblings Gret, Mary, and John.

She attended Radnor High School in Wayne, PA. She then went on to Temple University, Philadelphia, PA 1935-1939 for her BA (4 yr scholarship). She then attended Chicago Art Institute, Chicago, IL working on masters in the 1940’s. Sue proceeded to the  Chicago Psychiatrist Hospital as a Cadet Nurse 1941-April 9, 1945 graduation, Colmel Hall, Dr. Hoffman head of hospital. She finished her educational pursuits at the Illinois Neuropsychiatric Institute 2/1944-August 27, 1944, part of the US Public Health Service, Chicago Sunday Times August 27, 1944.
